Eco-stays run by a social enterprise primarily in Odisha

Siddharth Village is part of a social enterprise that is focussed on poor tribal communities primarily in Odisha. It works in areas like socio-economic empowerment, livelihood and food security, holistic health and protection of human rights.

As part of its initiatives it runs accommodation for travellers in two locations in Odisha and in Wayanad in Kerala.

The property at Kakirigumma between Rayagada and Koraput districts of Odisha is the primary site. It offers 18 rooms in cottages and two dormitaries set in a beautiful 30-acre property surrounded by hills and forests. The cottages have been built with eco-friendly materials and the property has an organic farm. Many of the training programmes of the organisation are held here. Travellers can try out activities like herbal mud bath and trekking and also visit a tribal eco-village nearby that is supported by the organisation.

The Jatni campus near Bubaneshwar offers 28 rooms and two dormitories, while their Wayanad property offers five rooms in a villa.

The food courts at the Odisha properties are run by a local women’s oprganisation that has been set up with the support of Siddharth Village and serves organic food.
