Checks & balances

To make it a fair contest, this year we have included a few more steps in the judging process.

• On-site inspections (with/without intimation) of the shortlisted nominees.
• Over two months for the Jury and for Outlook—and its vast network of travel writers and industry experts—to crosscheck claims made by shortlisted nominees.
• More exhaustive questionnaires for longlisted properties, drawn up in consultation with the members of our Jury, to ensure greater transparency.

12 member Jury to select winners in 6 categories and an overall winner.
