What sets this operator apart is the fact that the founder, Sujoy Das, who has been trekking and photographing in the Himalayas for over 30 years, personally leads most of the treks. The others are helmed by experienced Nepali sirdars and guides. The expedition groups are usually small, with between six and eight guests, ensuring a more personalised experience. The outfit is also aimed at amateur and first-time trekkers and hence is geared to provide the additional hand-holding and support needed for newbies.

Safaris/sightseeing tours- South Col Expeditions is a boutique outfit carrying out treks and photo workshops in the Himalaya. Most major treks are led by Sujoy Das, the founder of South Col Expeditions. Other treks are led by trusted sirdars (guides) with a wealth of experience. South Col groups are usually small between eight and ten persons and their client profile includes photographers, wildlife and nature lovers and environmentalists. Many of South Col’s clients are trekking for the first time and so require hand-holding and support which we provide and help them fulfill their dreams! In the new year 2019 we start with the beautiful Druk Path trek in end March, followed by a autumn trek in Ladakh. In October for the first time we will be in the Kangchenjunga region of Nepal for three weeks and end the year with the short but spectacular Annapurna Foothills trek.
